Yn ystod yr wythnos roedd Cam Cynnydd 3 wrthi yn defnyddio technegau gwahanol er mwyn efelychu gwaith celf Peter Thorpe. Yr ydym wedi bod yn astudio gwaith Peter Thorpe yn ystod ei’n thema; Bro, Byd, Bydysawd.

During the week Progress 3 have been using different techniques to emulate Peter Thorpe’s artwork. We have been studying the work of Peter Thorpe during our theme; Community, World, Universe.

Mae’r disgyblion wedi bod yn brysur yn datblygu eu sgiliau rhifedd yr wythnos hon. Maent wedi bod yn amcangyfrif, mesur a datrys problemau o gwmpas yr ysgol.

The pupils have been busy developing their numeracy skills this week. They have been estimating, measuring and problem solving around the school.

Bu tîm cwis yr ysgol yn cystadlu yn y cwis ‘Dim Clem’. Profodd y cwis eu gwybodaeth ar lawer o wahanol bynciau. Roedd yn rhaid iddynt ddatrys problemau mathemategol, rownd gwybodaeth gyffredinol a rownd daearyddiaeth. Roedd y rowndiau hyn i gyd yn seiliedig ar thema Cymru. Cystadlodd y tîm yn erbyn holl ysgolion Cymraeg Abertawe a daethant yn fuddugol. Maen nhw bellach wedi symud ymlaen i gynrychioli sir Abertawe yn y rownd nesaf. Camp wych.

The school’s quiz team competed in the ‘Dim Clem’ quiz. The quiz tested their knowledge on many different topics. They had to solve mathematical problems, a general knowledge round and a geography round. These rounds were all based on the theme of Wales. The team competed against all of the Welsh schools in Swansea and came out victorious. They have now moved forward to represent the county of Swansea in the next round. A fantastic achievement.

Yr wythnos hon i ddathlu’r Nadolig, bu Cam Cynnydd 3 yn cyflawni nifer o weithdai Nadoligaidd. Cafwyd nifer o gyfeloedd i greu calendrau, cardiau, addurniadau ac i goginio cacennau Nadolig.

This week Progression Step 3 got into the Christmas spirit by doing some Christmas workshops. They had the opportunity to create their own calendars, cards, decorations and bake their own Christmas cupcakes.

Yr wythnos hon, cafodd y plant gyfle i goginio gyda Lisa Fearn yn ystod un o dasgau llais y disgybl. Gwnaeth y disgyblion gweithio’n galed drwy’r wythnos i greu sioe radio coginio. Cyfle gwych a’r fraint o goginio ochr yn ochr â Lisa Fearn / This week, the children had the opportunity to cook with Lisa Fearn during one of their pupil voice tasks. They have been working this week on creating their own cooking radio show. It was great for them to have the opportunity to cook alongside Lisa Fearn.

Yr wythnos hon, gwnaeth Flwyddyn 6 parhau i gyfathrebu mewn iaith wahanol yn ystod y wers Ffrangeg.

This week Year 6 continued to communicate in a different language during their French lesson.

Ymgymryd ymchwiliadau ac yn gwerthuso’n feirniadol yr hyn maen nhw’n ei ddarganfod ac yn barod i ddysgu trwy gydol eu bywydau.

Ar Ddydd Mercher aeth Cam Cynnydd 3 ar ymweliad i Theatr Dylan Thomas ac Amgueddfa Abertawe. Cafodd y disgyblion gyfle i wylio’r sioe ‘Butterfly Hunter’ er mwyn dysgu am fywyd Alfred Russel Wallace. Tra yn yr Amgueddfa, cafodd y disgyblion gyfle gwych i archwilio gwahanol fathau o ffosilau ac esgyrn. Yna y cyfle  i fod yn feddylwyr beirniadol drwy benderfynu a oedd casglu’r holl wahanol fathau o rywogaethau at ddibenion gwyddonol yn gywir neu beidio.

On Wednesday Progression Step 3 went on a school visit to the Dylan Thomas Theatre and the Swansea museum. The pupils had the opportunity to watch the show ‘Butterfly Hunter’ to learn about the life of Alfred Russel Wallace. Whilst at the museum the children had the wonderful opportunity to explore different types of fossils and bones. They then had the opportunity to be critical thinkers by deciding whether it was right to have collected all these different types of species for scientific purposes.

Yr wythnos hon, bu Cam Cynnydd 3 yn brysur iawn. Cafodd y plant gyfle i gyd- weithio’n agos gyda’r cyngor llyfrau gan benderfynu pa lyfrau briodol oedd angen ar gyfer llyfrgell yr ysgol. Yn ogystal â hynny, cafodd y Cyngor ysgol fraint o weithio gydag Orielodl i greu darn o Gelf unigryw i’r ysgol. Yn sicr, rydym yn falch iawn o’r darn gorffenedig.

This week Progression Step 3 worked closely with Orielodl and Book Council for Wales. The children had the chance to work closely with the book council where they got to decide on what books the school library need. The school councils had the chance to work with Orielodl to create a unique piece of art for the school. We are very proud with the results

Am wythnos llawn gweithgareddau ysbrydoledig. Mae’r plant wedi cael wythnos llawn gweithgareddau i ddechrau eu thema. Dechreuodd yr wythnos gydag ymweliad â Chastell Henllys lle cafodd y plant gyfle i ddysgu am fywyd yng Nghymru yn ystod y cyfnod Celtaidd a Rhufeinig.Yn ystod ein ‘wythnos ysbrydoliaeth’ bu’r plant hefyd yn mwynhau ymweliad gan ‘Rhyfel Cymru’ lle dysgwyd y grefft o frwydr a sut i ysgrifennu caligraffi Rhufeinig. Ymwelwydy â gwahanol dosbarthiadau lle cawsant flasu gwahanol fathau o fwydydd Rhufeinig, crochenwaith, creu tarian a dawnsio creadigol trwy fframiau rhewi.

What a week full of inspiring activities. The children have had an action packed week to start their theme. The week started with a visit to Castell Henllys where the children got to learn about life in Wales during Celtic and Roman times.During our ‘inspiration week’ the children also enjoyed a visit from ‘Rhyfel Cymru’ where they learnt the art of battle and how to write Roman calligraphy. The children visited different classes where they tasted different types of Roman food, pottery, shield making and creative dance through freeze frames.

Barod i arwain bywydau cyflawn fel aelodau gwerthfawr o gymdeithas.

Iach ac Hyderus

Mae’r daith wedi dod i ben, mae wedi bod yn bythefnos hwylus gyda phrofiadau di-ri. Cafodd blwyddyn 6 y cyfle i ymweld a Langrannog i greu atgofion melys. Braf oedd gweld y disgyblion yn cymryd rhan yn y gweithgareddau ac yn creu ffrindiau newydd ar gyfer y cam nesaf.

Yr wythnos hon bu disgyblion yn dweud hwyl fawr i deulu Tirdeunaw. Braf oedd gweld y neuadd yn llawn o rieni cefnogol yn dathlu diwedd y daith.

The journey has come to an end. It has a memorable fortnight with countless experiences. Year 6 had the opportunity to visit Llangrannog to create fond memories. It was nice to see the pupils taking part in the activities and making new friends for the next stage of their education.

This week pupils have said goodbye to the Tirdeunaw family. It was nice to see the hall full of supportive parents celebrating the end of the journey.
