Diwrnod Gweithgareddau Blwyddyn 4 / Year 4 Activity Day

Yn cymryd rhan mewn gweithgarwch corfforol. / Taking part in a physical activity.

Unigolion iach, hyderus. / Healthy and confident individuals.

Cafodd disgyblion Blwyddyn 4 ddiwrnod gwych yn cymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau ar Fferm Parc Newydd gydag Adventures Wales. Cawsant gyfle i ddringo wal, dringo’r rhaffau uchel, rhoi cynnig ar saethyddiaeth a’r hoff weithgaredd o bell ffordd oedd y cwrs mwdlyd. Pleser pur oedd treulio’r diwrnod gyda’n disgyblion anturus wrth iddynt ddatblygu eu sgiliau personol eu hunain a’u sgiliau adeiladu tîm. Ffordd wych o orffen eu hamser ym mlwyddyn 4!

Year 4 pupils had a fantastic day taking part in activities at Parc Newydd Farm with Adventures Wales. They had the opportunity to climb a wall, scale the high ropes, try their hand at archery and the favourite acitivity by far was the muddy assault course. It was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with our adventurous pupils whist they developed their own personal skills and their team building skills. A fantastic way to end their time in year 4!

Gwyddoniaeth – Arbrawf Roced Balwn / Science – Rocket Balloon Experiment

Adeiladu sylfaen o wybodaeth ac yn meddu’r sgiliau i gysylltu a chymhwyso’r wybodaeth honno o fewn testunau gwahanol. / Are building up a body of knowledge and have the skills to connect and apply that knowledge in different contexts.

Cafodd blant blwyddyn 4 hwyl a sbri’r wythnos yma wrth iddynt gynnal arbrawf teg er mwyn ateb y cwestiwn: A yw maint y balwn yn effeithio ar gyflymder?

Year 4 pupils had a lot of fun this week whilst carrying out a fair test to answer the question: Does the size of a balloon affect how far it travels?

Gweithdy Darllen Bryntawe /  Bryntawe Reading Workshop

Gallu cyfathrebu’n effeithiol mewn gwahanol ffurfiau a lleoliadau, gan ddefnyddio’r Gymraeg a’r Saesneg. / Can communicate effectively in different forms and settings, using both Welsh and English.

Roedd yna lawer o gyffro yng ngham cynnydd 3 heddiw pan ddaeth ddisgyblion blwyddyn 7 o Ysgol Bryntawe i ymweld â disgyblion blwyddyn 4 er mwyn darllen y chwedlau maent wedi ysgrifennu yn ystod eu gwersi Cymraeg. Hyfryd weld wynebau cyfarwydd â newydd wrth iddynt ddifyrru’r plant gyda’i holl waith caled.

There was great excitement in progression step 3 today when year 7 pupils from Ysgol Bryntawe came to visit year 4 pupils in order to read the folk tales they had written during their Welsh lessons. Great to see familiar and new faces as they entertained the children with all their hard work.

Wythnos Ysbrydoli / Inspirational Week

Bu cyffro mawr ar Ddydd Gwener 19eg o Ebrill pan ymwelodd Immersive Experiences â disgyblion Cam Cynnydd 3 gyda’u cromen amlbwrpas 360°. Cafodd y disgyblion eu syfrdanu wrth edrych ar y cytserau. Cawsant hefyd anturiaethau anhygoel oddi ar y byd a mwy wrth wylio ffilm gyffrous 360˚. Ffordd wych o ennyn diddordeb yn ein thema newydd. 

There was great excitement on Friday 19th of April when Immersive Experiences visited the pupils in Progression Step 3 with their 360° multi-purpose dome. The pupils were left in awe whilst viewing the constellations. They also experienced incredible off-world adventures and more whilst watching a thrilling 360˚ film. A great way to inspire interest in our new topic. 

Dydd Miwsig Cymru 2024 / Welsh Language Music Day

Bu Cam Cynnydd 3 yn dathlu Diwrnod Miwsig Cymru gan wrando ar gerddoriaeth Gymraeg a chreu posteri er mwyn hybu’r diwrnod. / Progression Step 3 celebrated Welsh Language Music Day by listening to a variety of Welsh music and creating posters to promote the day.

Mae’r plant wedi bod yn gweithio’n galed yn paratoi ar gyfer ein Gwasanaeth Nadolig. Rydym ni’n teimlo’n Nadoligaidd iawn gyda’r holl baratoi.

The pupils have been busy preparing for the Christmas Assembly.We are feeling very christmassy with all the preparation.

Cychwyn gwych i’n hwythnos gyrfaoedd yng Ngham Cynnydd 3. Cafodd y plant eu hysbrydoli yn ystod y cyflwyniad gwych gan y chwaraewyr proffesiynol o dîm hoci iâ’r Cardiff Devils. Cafodd y plant cyfle i wisgo’r cit a dysgu mwy am y chwaraewyr a’u rôl nhw o fewn y tîm yn ystod y sesiwn holi ac ateb. Yn ystod yr ymweliad fe anogwyd y plant i weithio’n galed a manteisio ar bob cyfle.

A excellent start to our Careers Week in Progression Step 3. The children were inspired during the informative presentation by the professional players from the Cardiff Devils ice hockey team. The children had the opportunity to wear the kit and learn more about the players and their role within the team during the Q&A. Throughout the visit the children were encouraged to work hard and take advantage of every opportunity.

Am ddiwrnod llawn gweithgareddau hwylus. Cafodd blant Cam Cynnydd 3 hwyl a sbri yn ystod ein diwrnod dathlu Cwpan y Byd. Ymwelwyd â gwahanol ddosbarthiadau lle cawsant goginio pitsas, dysgu’r Haka, creu origami, dysgu Ffrangeg a datblygu eu dealltwriaeth o’r gystadleuaeth a’r gwledydd sy’n cymryd rhan yn y twrnamaint.

What a fun packed day. Progression Step 3 had lots of fun during our Rugby World Cup celebration day. The children visited different classes where they cooked pizzas, learnt the Haka, created origami, learnt French and learnt more about the countries that are taking part in the tournament.

Celfyddydau Mynegiannol a Dyniaethau / Expressive Arts and Humanities

Mae disgyblion Blwyddyn 5 wedi bod yn ffodus i weithio gyda Nina, artist lleol sydd ers graddio wedi dysgu gwneud printiau mewn ysgolion a sefydliadau ledled Cymru. Mae ei gwaith wedi cael ei arddangos mewn arddangosfeydd ledled Cymru. Bydd Nina yn dychwelyd y tymor nesaf i barhau i weithio gyda’n disgyblion a bydd eu darnau terfynol o waith yn cael eu harddangos gyda balchder yn yr ysgol am flynyddoedd i ddod.

Year 5 pupils have been fortunate to work with Nina, a local artist who since graduating has taught printmaking in schools and institutions across Wales. Her work has been exhibited within exhibitions throughout Wales. Nina will return next term to continue working with our pupils and their final pieces of work will be proudly displayed in the school for many years to come.

Gwreiddiau Gwrosydd

Bu disgyblion Cam Cynnydd 3 yn plannu ffrwythau a llysiau yn ein gardd newydd fel rhan o’i gwaith thema. Fe wnaethant ddefnyddio eu sgiliau gweithio fel rhan o dîm a gwybodaeth blaenorol i sicrhau bod y planhigion yn cael eu plannu yn y safleoedd gorau fel y byddent yn tyfu ac yn ffynnu.

Children from progression step 3 had the opportunity to plant fruit and vegetables in our newly established school garden. They used their team working skills and previous knowledge to ensure that the plants were planted in the best positions so that they would grow and thrive.
