Am wythnos brysur, rydym wedi cael hwyl sbri yn dysgu am siapiau 3d dros y bythefnos ddiwethaf. Aethom ar helfa siapiau yn yr ardal allanol, stampio siapiau 3d i er mwyn creu siapiau 2d a rhannu’r siapiau 2d a 3d, edrych ar y gwahaniaethau rhwng y siapiau 2d a’r siapiau 3d. Tybed os gall eich plentyn dweud beth sydd yn wahanol? Fedrwn enwi rhai o’r siapiau gwahanol? (ciwb, ciwboid, sffêr, pyramid, silindr) Edrychwch o amgylch y tŷ i weld os oes gennych siapiau 3d a 2d yn eich cartrefi chi. // What a busy week, we have had fun learning about 3d shapes over the last two weeks. We went on a shape hunt in the outside area, stamping 3d shapes to create 2d shapes and dividing the 2d and 3d shapes, looking at the differences between the 2d and 3d shapes. I wonder if your child can tell what is different? Can they name some of the different shapes? (cube, cuboid, sphere, pyramid, cylinder) Look around the house to see if you have 3d and 2d shapes in your homes.

Mae’r plant wrth eu boddau yn chwarae gemau Addysg Gorfforol. Mae’r thema yma yn un wych er mwyn defnyddio’r parasiwt – rydym wedi bod yn chwarae gemau gwahanol ynglŷn â’r lliwiau llachar. Maent wedi bod yn datblygu sgiliau gwrando a datblygu fwy o ddealltwriaeth o’r iaith lafar yn ystod ein sesiynau. Gwych! // The children love playing PE games. This theme is a great one to use the parachute – we have been playing different games about the bright colours. They have been developing their listening skills and developing a greater understanding of the spoken language during our sessions. Great!

Gwyddoniaeth / **Science!** Cymysgu lliwiau er mwyn creu lliwiau gwahanol yw ein tasg Gwyddoniaeth. Trafodwch gyda’ch plant pa ddau liw sydd yn gwneud lliwiau gwahanol. Mae’r dasg hon yn un da er mwyn sicrhau bod pawb yn golchi dwylo yn gywir. // Mixing colors to create different colours is our Science task. Discuss with your children which two colours make different colours. This task is a good one to ensure that everyone washes their hands correctly.

Rydym wedi bod yn brysur gydag arbrwf cymysgu lliwiau, roedd y plant yn mwynhau edrych ar y liiwiau yn ewid a chreu patrymau. We have been busy experimenting with mixing colours, the children enjoyed seeing the colours change and making patterns.

Rydym dal yn brysur gydag amrywiaeth o weithgareddau Nadoligaidd gan gynnwys gwaith arian yn y dosbarth. Mae’r plant yn mwynhau’r agwedd yma o Fathemateg.

Gofynnwch i’ch plentyn dangos i chi 1c a 2c. Ceisiwch chwarae rôl o siop gydag eitemau o amgylch y tŷ.

We are still busy with Christmas activities including money work in the class. The children are enjoying this aspect of maths a lot. Ask your child to show you 1p and 2p. Try to role play shop with items from around the house.

Ymweliad Nadolig / Christmas trip

Cawsom hwyl a sbri ar ein hymweliad dydd Llun i fferm goed Nadolig y Gwŷr. Cafodd y plant cyfleoedd gyda gweithgareddau gwahanol. Roeddem wedi;

• Mynd ar helfa siocled o amgylch y coed Nadolig.

• Mynd am reid ar y tractor i weld y coed Nadolig yn y caeau.

• Bwydo ceirw Sïon Corn.

• Cwrdd â Sion Corn ar ôl mynd ar y llwybr hud.

• Chwarae gemau gyda Mrs Corn yn y beudy.

• Cael picnic nol yn y dosbarth.

We had fun and excitement on our visit Monday to the Gower Christmas tree farm. The children had opportunities with different activities such as;

• Going on a chocolate hunt around the Christmas trees.

• Went for a ride on the tractor to see the Christmas trees in the fields.

• Fed Santas reindeers.

•Met with Santa after walking through the magical path where we saw Elsa and other magical scenes.

• Played games with Mrs Claus in the cowshed.

• Had a picnic back in class.

Ffocws rhifedd yw arian yr wythnos hon. Rydym yn cyfri ceiniogau er mwyn creu cyfansymiau gwahanol. Mae’r plant yn mwynhau chwarae rol siop gyda gwahanol eitemau tu fewn y dosbarth. / Our numeracy focus is money this week. We are counting pennies to make different amounts. The children are enjoying role playing shop with different items from the class.

Gwnaeth y dosbarth Derbyn mwynhau diwrnod Archarwyr, yn ystod y dydd roeddent wedi cymryd rhan yn helfa rhifau yn yr ardal allanol, creu hudlath, creu mygydau, paratoi ac addurno bisgedi blasus a pawb wedi gwisgo i fyny i ddod i’r ysgol.

The Reception class enjoyed Superhero day, during the day they had taken part in a number hunt in the outside area, created a wand, created masks, prepared and decorated delicious biscuits and everyone dressed up to come to school.

Rememberance day activities in the class, a busy day was had.

We have been learning about 2d shapes inside and outside the classroom. Ask your child to name the familiar shapes. (Circle, square, rectangle, triangle)

Ymweliad wrth arwyr go iawn / A visit from some real life heroes

Am ymweliad hwyl a sbri gan y Diffoddwyr Tân yr wythnos hon. Roedd y plant wrth eu bodd yn gweld y gwahanol offer oedd ganddynt yn yr injan, edrych tu fewn yr injan a chael tro gyda’r gwisgoedd. Dywedodd y diffoddwyr tân wrthym am y gwaith y maent yn ei wneud yn ein cymuned i helpu i’n cadw’n ddiogel.

What a fun visit from the Fire fighters this week. The children loved seeing the various equipment they had in the engine, having a look inside and trying on the uniforms. The fire fighters told us all about the work they do in our community to help keep us safe.

Wythnos diwethaf, roedden wedi dathlu diwrnod T Llew Jones gan ddarllen am Barti Ddu, mor leidr wnaeth ysgrifennu am. Mae T Llew Jones yn awdur enwog iawn yng Nghymru.
Last week, we celebrated the author T Llew Jones by reading about Barti Ddu a pirate that he wrote about.

Mae’r plant wedi arbrofi gyda gwahanol bethau sydd yn suddo ac arnofio. Roedd y plant wedi chwilio yn yr ardal allanol am amrywiaeth o bethau sydd yn suddo neu yn arnofio.
The children experimented with different things that sink or float recently. The children enjoyed searching for different things in the outdoor area.

Derbyn / Reception

Roedd y dosbarth Derbyn wedi mwynhau gweithdy taro a dysgu am y synau gwahanol gyda’r offerynnau amrywiol.

The Reception class enjoyed a percussion workshop and learning about the different sounds with the various instruments.

Year 1 used the poem ‘Dawns y Dail’ by T. Llew Jones to learn what happens to the leaves in the autumn.
