Mwynhaodd dosbarth blwyddyn 3 Mrs Davies gydweithio i ddarganfod ffeithiau am wahanol greaduruiaid y môr. Roedd gan bob disgybl gerdyn gwybodaeth lle roedd yn rhaid iddynt baru’r wybodaeth gyda disgybl arall yn y dosbarth. Helpodd hyn i ddatblygu eu patrymau iaith.

Mrs Davies’ year 3 class enjoyed collaborating to discover facts about various sea creatures. Each pupil had an information card where they had to pair the information with another pupil in the class. This helped develop their language patterns.

Fel rhan o’n gwers athroniaeth i blant, mae blwyddyn 3 wedi bod yn edrych ar luniau o lygredd y môr ac yn trafod pwysigrwydd peidio â thaflu sbwriel i’r môr. Buont yn edrych ar gwestiynau athronyddol ac yn trafod yr hyn a deimlent am y lluniau a thrafod amrywiol ansoddeiriau i ddisgrifio’r lluniau. Penderfynodd pawb pa mor bwysig oedd gofalu am y byd ac maent wedi penderfynu ysgrifennu stori i ddisgyblion iau ar bwysigrwydd peidio â thaflu sbwriel yn y môr.

As part of our p4c lesson, year 3 have been looking at pictures of sea pollution and discussing the importance of not throwing rubbish into the sea. They looked at philosophical questions and discussed what they felt about the pictures and discussed various adjectives to describe the pictures. All decided how important it was to look after the world and have decided to write a story for younger pupils on the importance of not throwing rubbish in the sea.

Fel rhan o’u sesiynau Jigsaw, mae blwyddyn 3 wedi bod yn trafod heriau a sut maen nhw’n effeithio ar bobl yn wahanol. Buom yn trafod heriau y maent yn eu hwynebu yn yr ysgol a’r hyn yr hoffent ei wneud pan fyddant yn wynebu heriau. Fe wnaethant gydweithio i ddylunio gardd heddychlon gyda gwahanol fannau lle gallai rhywun fynd pe byddent yn teimlo eu bod yn cael eu herio.

As part of our Jigsaw sessions, year 3 have been discussing challenges and how they affect people differently. We discussed challenges that they face at school and what they’d like to do when faced with challenges. They cooperated to design a peaceful garden with various areas where someone could go if they felt challenged.

Well done to our year 3 pupils for competing on behalf of the school in athletics and for winning the shield at West Glamorgan Area Athletics Championships.

Ymwelodd Menter Iaith â’r ysgol i gyflwyno’r disgyblion i gemau Cymraeg y gallant eu chwarae ar y buarth. Roedd blwyddyn 3 yn mwynhau chwarae ‘cath, cath, llygoden’ a dilyn cyfarwyddiadau wrth chwarae gyda’r parasiwt.

Menter Iaith visited the school to introduce the pupils to Welsh games that they can play on the playground. Year 3 enjoyed playing ‘duck, duck, goose’ and following instructions whilst playing with the parachute.

Mrs Davies’ year 3 class thoroughly enjoyed their reasoning session where they worked together and shared methods of how to work out the answers. It got quite competitive!

Mae diwrnod Seren a Sbarc wedi bod i godi ymwybyddiaeth o siarad Cymraeg a dathlu popeth sy’n Gymraeg. Creodd blwyddyn 3 bosteri ar bwysigrwydd o siarad Cymraeg a dylunio logos priodol. Mwynheuon nhw ddilyn cyfarwyddiadau i greu Seren a Sbarc eu hunain a gwrando ar wahanol fandiau Cymraeg yn ystod y dydd.

Seren and Sbarc day has been to raise the awareness of speaking Welsh and celebrating everything that’s Welsh. Year 3 created posters on the importance of speaking Welsh and designed appropriate logos. They enjoyed following instructions to create their own Seren and Sbarc and listening to various Welsh bands during the day.

Mae blwyddyn 3 wedi cael amser gwych yn arbrofi gyda chlustffon rhith-realti’r cefnfor. Fe wnaethon nhw archwilio harddwch y môr a dysgu am ei drigolion ysblennydd a darganfod sut mae’r cefnfor yn newid yn ddramatig.

Year 3 have had a wonderful time experimenting with the ocean virtual reality headset. They explored the beauty of the sea and learnt about its spectacular inhabitants and discovered how the ocean is dramatically changing.
