Datblygodd dosbarth blwyddyn 3 Mrs Davies eu sgiliau meddwl trwy hela rhifau oedd yn lluosrifau o 10, 100 a 1000. Wrth ddod o hyd i rif oedd yn ateb y meini prawf llwyddiant, fe wnaethon nhw weiddi ‘SBLAT!’

Mrs Davies’ year 3 class developed their thinking skills by hunting numbers that were multiples of 10, 100 and 1000. When they located a number that answered the success criteria, they shouted ‘SPLAT!’.

Dyma ddisgyblion blwyddyn 2 yn defnyddio eu sgiliau drama a symud creadigol i ymgorffori anifeiliaid o’r arwyddion Sidydd Tsieineaidd wrth i ni astudio digwyddiadau a hanes y Flwyddyn Newydd Tsieineaidd.

Here are year 2 using their drama and creative movement skills to embody animals of the Chinese Zodiac signs as we study the history and events of the Chinese New Year.

Dyniaethau / Humanities

Gwnaeth Blwyddyn 2 Mr Hutchings dysgu llawer am yr Holocost a pha mor wael cafodd Iddewon eu trin yn ystod yr Ail Ryfel Byd. Crëwyd calonnau i ddangos parch tuag atyn nhw ac i gofio am eu hamser caled.

Mr Hutchings’ class learned a lot about the Holocaust and how badly Jewish people were treated during the Second World War. We created hearts with ash effects to show respect for them and to remember the hard time they suffered.

Cymhwyso gwybodaeth am effaith ymarfer corff ar iechyd corfforola meddyliol yn eu bywydau bob dydd/ Apply knowledge about the impact of exercise on physical and mental health in their daily lives.

Gwybod sut i ddod ohyd i’r wybodaeth a’r gefnogaeth i gadw’n ddiogel ac iach wrth gymryd rhan mewn gweithgarwch corfforol/Know how to find the information and support to keep safe and take part in physical activity.

Bu’r plant yn adeiladu sylfaen o wybodaeth ac yn meddu’r sgiliau i gysylltu a chymhwyso’r wybodaeth hon  o fewn testunau gwahanol/ The children built up a body of knowledge and have the skills to connect and apply that knowledge in different contexts

Yr wythnos hon mae’r plant wedi dechrau edrych ar y sgil o hanneri rhifau cyfan. Fel ffordd i hwyluso’r dysgu cafodd y plant cyfle i ddysgu ac i atgyfnerthu yr hyn mae’nt wedi dysgu yn yr ystafell ddosbarth i mewn i sefyllfaoedd gwahanol.

This week the children have started looking at the skill of halving whole numbers. As a way to facilitate their learning the children had the opportunity to reinforce what they have learned in the classroom into different situations.

Bu’r plant yn brysur heddiw yn datrys problemau cracio cod, fe ddefnyddiwyd amrywiaeth wrthrychau yn y dosbarth i helpu ddatrys y broblem.

The children were busy today solving code cracking problems, a variety of objects were used in class to help solve the problem.

Celfyddydau Mynegiannol / Expressive Arts

Bu’r plant yn dysgu am hanes Santes Dwynwen ar yr 25.1.23 ac o ganlyniad penderfynnon fel dosbarth i greu cardiau er mwyn dathlu’r diwrnod.

The children learned about the history of Saint Dwynwen on 25.1.23 and as a result they decided as a class to create cards to celebrate the day.

Year 3 have enjoyed developing their dictionary skills to find the meaning of their Science experiment words.
